Relevant Work and Training:

  • Is on the list for Canadian Women in Global Health through the Canadian Society for International Health

  • Founder and Executive Director of Global Familymed Foundation, a Canadian charity since 2012. Active partners are in Uganda and Nepal, with past consulting in Myanmar and Ethiopia.

  • Created a Global Health residency at the University of Calgary’s Cumming School of Medicine in 2008, was Program Director for 6 years

  • Diploma in Tropical Medicine and Hygiene from London School of Tropical Medicine and Hygiene, London, England

  • Worked for a month each year for 7 years in Laos

  • Consulted in Myanmar, Ethiopia, Nepal

  • Partnerships in Nepal, Uganda, Kenya, Rwanda

  • Led international research group for Storybooth in Brazil (learn more in my role as a facilitator) and Narrative projects

  • Studied ancient ways of knowing - Qigong group leader (Spring Forest) and Ayurvedic Medicine Counselling (Kerala Academy)
